A few years ago, before Harry Miller bravely relieved me of being Canadian Coordinator for TARS, I investigated the possibility of having TARS publications sent to me on disk and printed in our University Print Shop. I hoped this would cut down mailing costs – and reduce the incidence of entire mailings getting mislaid on their way from the UK.

However, it turned out that the cost of printing a small number at a time wiped out a good bit of the mail savings. I was also concerned about what would happen when I finally got too gaga and the University kicked me out. The matter was not pursued.

However, it occurs to me to wonder if something could not be done to make publications available over the Internet. I am no computer whiz (I do know how to turn one on) but might it be possible to have a site accessible by individual password on payment of a reduced membership fee? The e-members of TARS could then download publications and
print them or view them on a screen.

There may be excellent reasons why this will not work. But has it been considered?
