I'd agree with Rob. As expected, they couldn't pin anything on AR. However, it will have informed many viewers that AR had an interesting life, to say the least, and it wasn't all jolly children's adventures. All good publicity for AR. I thought the actor who played the young Ransome was a real ringer. I'm sorry there wasn't more of John Sergeant - a genuine AR-lover, and a decent bloke. In fact, I would have preferred to have had him present the programme - Rhys Jones is a bit 'stagey' for me. One nice touch - Ted Alexander featured in the credits at the close - I imagine they drew extensively on Ted's detailed knowledge of AR in Russia.
