I suppose the blighters have ground me down - if you can't beat them . .etc. All the same, I'm sorry, in a way, that Tarboard (labelled 'an Arthur Ransome discussion forum') cannot sustain a serious discussion about AR. Personally, I believe that under the jolly yo-ho-ho stuff there are quite serious ideas and concepts lurking. The 'Secret Life' TV programme pointed the way in this regard.
