My parents used to take us children to the pantomime at Richard Theatre in Surrey, which was notoriously blue. So blue in fact that though they knew it was filthy, they just didn't know quite why it was filthy. Every year they worried that we would ask them what this or that meant.But we never did. It went straight over our heads.
