But, Mark, neither are we now. Yet here we all are discussing the latest rage in children's fiction in the 1930s. I ask again - do we really think that in 2055 there will be a 'Potterboard' with Ed's grandson patiently answering all the queries . . . Will the Rowling stories last? The answer is that we don't really know. Certainly she will leave her mark on child literature, but will her books still be in print in 50 years' time? There were prolific writers in the early 20th Century whose books can only be found in libraries and collections now.
