I suppose my point is does it really matter.
When I read them as a child albeit after the last one was published
I did not check on the publish date only that they were great stories most of which I believed could happen other than PD and ML.
If I had been lucky enough.
The only readers to miss out would have been the first in 1930 on.
whilst it amuses us, as in my case aging adults to disect the stories as kids we did not even think of doing that.
