My grandfather was apparently a dowser. He was able to find water when campaigning on the North West Frontier and trace the underground passage of a stream in his garden after retirement.
I have played around with those bent wires but I haven't really felt anything.
I, too, am surprised that there has not been an attempt to investigate the phenomenon, unlike some so-called paranormal effects, this seems to be reproducible and also not affected by the presence of sceptics.
