I think we all have our own ways of enjoying the novels. I long ago sketched out my imaginary Beckfoot and improved on the Wild Cat Island map and also the book end-papers.
Personally I do not think it does any harm to discuss one's dream with others and analyse it as much as one wants. Perhaps we ought to preface such musings on Tarboard with the phrase "If you don't want to know a possible result - please look away now."
Or one can go to even greater extremes - "Did the GA murder Bob Blackett for his money?" This might answer many questions!!
