Aunt Helen was the Aunt with whom Nancy and Peggy stayed in London on the way to Pin Mill to join the Swallows in SW. She is also the "Certified First Class Aunt" to whom PM is dedicated.
I suggest that she was not a Turner but was a Blackett (ie was the Amazons' father's sister) - she is not mentioned as having been brought up by the GA.
It is interesting that she doesn't live in the North (even the GA lives in Harrogate) - did marriage take her to the South, or were the Blacketts a family of "outsiders" whose son, Bob, got to know the Turner family (perhaps because he was at school with Jim Turner?)
I think Aunt Helen is also the aunt who is described as "almost a pirate" in SD (chapter 3), but I remember that there are more than one aunt mentioned there. Do we think that there are siblings of CF and Molly Blackett? Or are all the other aunts Blacketts?
