Following up a suggestion from Rachel Klapmann some time back, and pinching a few items from David
Towne's quiz in Mixed Moss 1/2, I've added an Arthur Ransome Quotations Quiz to the Literary Pages.
It randomly selects 8 short quotations from a database of 60 (5 from each book), and asks you to try to
identify where each comes from. Most of the quotations will be pretty easy for most TARBOARDers,
but I've included a few which are a little more difficult. To make things a bit harder, you are given a score
on the quiz as a whole and not on individual questions: and to make matters a shade easier, there is a hint
to hekp you for each quotation (click on the H button).
I'd be very grateful to TARBOARDERS for feedback, especially:
1. Are there any browsers, operating systems or machines out there which have trouble in showing the
quiz?
2.I'd be very grateful for further short quotations which could be included in the quiz. Also for ideas for
further quizzes (I've already started work on one on the life of AR).
