I am re-reading SW after many years lay off. Last night I read twice the expression "sentry go" (once hyphenated and once unhyphenated). My dictionary says that it is a verb, but Ransome uses it, I think, as a noun on at least one of those occasions (although in each case, ISTR that it was Roger who said it and he could have just been being "cheeky" with his language).

Ed, are there any other uses of this in the 12?

Has anyone ever seen or heard the expression used as a noun and not just as a verb?

Should we send this off to the OED?
