In my personal recollection of those mental images that Ransome's words created for it, it was a Grand piano, but with research and scanning for the words, "GRAND PIANO", there is no match, so guess it was just my imagination. But it just seems to fit. After all, the GA herself played it, and for her to sit at anything less than that GRAND piano would just not seem to fit her requirements.

Thus is the word from the "Horse's Mouth." (or maybe it was the other end...)
