One might say (if one was a GWR supporter) that 1 small GWR shed = 2 large LMS sheds. But that would be unfair as they would never have fitted all those lovely, powerful Stanier 4-6-2's into a small GWR shed.
John Wilson has postulated that Dorothea was seen off by her mother in London, but where did she come from? I gather from WH that the D's home was near a University and near an ice rink. Having skated in London on a number of occasions in the 1950/60's, I am not aware that there were any rinks near any London University building especially in the 1930's. But I may be wrong, does anyone know differently please?
