Not particularly relevant to AR but maybe to the taste of squirrel - apparently Elvis Presley's favorite food was deep-fried squirrel. Of course it is an article of faith that in that general part of the South virtually everything is fried - perhaps they know how to render nearly anything edible (or at least mask the taste of the awful ones).
