Trashing others ideas and opinions in public because you don't agree with them
What is wrong with that, provided the 'trashing' is politely expressed? Isn't that an essential part of free speech and argument? Are we all supposed to remain silent whenever we read an opinion we profoundly disagree with (ie on Tarboard, 'brush past' the thread)?. This is nothing to do with 'bullying', which is, as I have said, the powerful kicking the weak. I make no apology for returning to this topic, because I believe that Prue's philosophy, if carried out, would stifle all debate. It is also an effective way of wriggling out of an argument you feel you are not winning.
