Here in Yorkshire, not too far from the GA's home at Harrogate, there was recently a news item in which some relevant organisation was suggesting that the famous Ilkley Moor (as in the song Ilkla Moor Baht 'At) might have to be renamed Ilkley Hill, because so much of the heather has been supplanted by invasive bracken that the place might no longer qualify as a moor.
