A grog festival sounds good fun Rob. As a mixture of rum & water plus lime or lemon juice (if you suffer from scurvy), I am not sure if it would mix well with beer.
Thus the S&As grog only omitted the rum. However carrying it in a puncheon is a little overegged. As you know, a puncheon is 72 gallons and I challenge any 2 modern Amazon pirates to carry one between them on an oar.
Perhaps this is a research project for TNRPs.
