Compared to the pressure of the workhouse in the 1860's
Fighting in the Army in the 1812 war?
Kids are pressured to perform academically yes, physically no where near as much as past times. We do not make people really work till they are 22 to 28 in most instances at Uni?
In 1928 a Masters would get you a top flight job, now it is blaise.
Things are different and the pressures are different but they are still there?
