A favourite comment about people going home after a long night of partying was that they would catch the Milk Train home. There were alao early trains for Newspapers (no, not Paper-(ch)ains) and the recently (and very sadly / wrongly) abandoned Post Office Overnight Mail Trains could collect mail on the run and drop mail off without stopping. Postmen sorted mail on board whilst the train ran. Brilliant! Cheers - Joe
