On second thoughts don't as the boiling point of alcohol is well below that of water and it may have evaporated by the time the egg has boiled.

You don't boil an egg to make egg nog. Although the jet propelled egg reminds me of an interesting invention, the steam jet engine.

It strikes me that this could be a great Tarboard collaborative venture with different teams taking on different sets of experimental variables. The question then arises what to do with all the hard-boiled eggs that are the accidental consequences of such a research effort. Here is one solution.
