The reason those various cat-piss Americans beers sell so well is that they are cheap & you can get drunk. If that's your goal, who cares what you taste? If I were a drinker, beer would be my choice--I like it much better than wine. I sampled every British beer my husband had on our trips there--yummy! The only beers he drinks here are Guinness (not as good as over the pond) and microbrewery beers. We are lucky to have several good ones in our local area--Portland, Oregon if anyone cares to come try them out! My brother-in-law makes the tastiest super-microbrewery beers I've ever tasted; we are among the very few lucky recipients of this nectar :-)
