Why on earth should we expect people to "boo" and disapprove anyone because of their class origins?

If that is the current expectation of people in the UK then that is one of the reasons why I am so glad to have left Britain for a "colonial" country (which has still its class distinctions) but they aren't used to condemn or raise people up.

I freely admit to having what would probably be called middle to upper middle class origins. I went to a public school, I have parents and grand parents who worked in professional occupations not manual labour. Objectively, I would probably be considered lower in class than them because of my occuation etc. but my accent (and perhaps attitudes) are at least partially defined by my class origins. It doesn't really affect me or my self-image and I would be surprised if anyone here took much notice of them.
