No, I didn't say that there was no emotional attachment in AR's stories, but that there was not really very much. And I meant marital emotional attachment - I would have thought that was obvious. Adam's mention of brother/sister and father/child affection (which I agree is very much there) rather proves my point. What was AR avoiding?
