Stuff and nonsense Peter. (Robust enough for you?)

Emotionally unattached? There is plenty of evidence of emotional attachment between various characters. Its just not always marital bliss. The Dixons seem to be well adjusted and have a good marital relationship. Molly Blackett and Jim Turner have a loving brother and sister relationship, very well expressed. The Farlands (not Farnon as I earlier said, got confused with Herriot) have an obviously affectionate father and daughters emotional attachment.
