Peggy does say twice when Nancy says “be quiet” that Nancy is the one who is making the noise. One of them is GN Chapter 11 when they are listening to Mr Jemmerling talking to CF and Nancy says:
“ ... Do be quiet. What’s he saying now”
Peggy whispers back “Everybody is quiet except you”.

Was the other time in SD?

Nancy’s real name is Ruth as stated in several of the books, but is it only PM when the GA refers to “Ruth & Margaret” ie Peggy’s real name is Margaret? Perhaps the GA had a hand in selecting the names Ruth & Margaret, over Bob & Molly?
