No one has yet mentioned that Christmas is the festival to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the Saviour of mankind. So I will. Too bad society has changed the meaning of Christmas in the same way society has changed Easter to bunnies laying eggs and Halloween (All Soul's Day) to a parade of ghosts, bats, pumpkins and children asking for treats. Anyway, I think this discussion is verging periously near to a heated argument about religion. I just though I would mention why Christmas is celebrated (apart from the commercial aspects, that is). This public posting is NOT intended to provoke argument and controversy.
