I keep Christmas - partly because of childhood influence, partly because of my own children and partly because its one day in the year to connect with loved ones in a special way. Am I religious/spiritual - no. Do I like the aura and magic, the carols and the 'specialness' of the day - yes. by Prue
Hear, hear. Singing carols in a candlelit church on Christmas Eve moves me to tears. I don't know if this is because I'm a sentimental old fool, exhausted by all those pre-Christmas preparations, or because there's something more spiritual going on.
