I intended to keep clear of this, but decided why not,
As a child Christmas was a magical wonderful time, I think it became less so when I found out Father Christmas (Santa Claus) was a fiction.
However it was still a wondeful time.
Since then I have seriously questioned the religious side and am convinced that is fiction too.
But Christmas with all its ritual is still appealing in a romantic way.
I am with Jennie. Carols still give me a warm feeling.

I think we have to accept that it is now a commercial festival, taken from a long past of celebrating the end to the long dark days.
Now a way to make money.

But at least for one time a year a large part of the globe can wish joy and peace to each other.
Rob
