Perhaps the 'No Bathing' rule was just the State of Ohio - it was a long time ago but it surprised me.
We do have the Marine and Coastguard Agency which is in fact working cordially with us on the restoration of our steam herring drifter. I was rather referring to small boats - we have had instances recorded on TARBOARD of the U S Coastguard stopping boats for inspection - that just doesn't happen here
I agree that freedom goes with responsibility. Too many controls will mean that people stop taking responsibility for themselves.
