Thank you both PeterH and Jock for setting down the situation as you know it and also as to why the WSM has some relevance to TARS and more to steam boat heritage.
Unfortunately the situation described is by no means uncommon, with a person setting up and to a greater or lesser extent funding the running out of their own pocket. This is fine until they die, then the grim financial reaper, in the shape of Gordon Brown (as Chancellor of the Exchequer), wants 40% of everthing after a basic allowance.
Whilst the people who set up these concerns are very much to be commended, probably nothing would happen without them, it is a pity that sometimes they have no exit strategy. To reuse the quote - "There are only two certainties in life - Death and Taxes."
Perhaps they do not care, they have every right not to care if they do not want to. But it may then fall to others to pick up the running but we do not all have deep pockets.
I am suprised that the UK Steamboat Association has no mention on their website, but it may be in a members only area.
Perhaps it is now better to await next month's Signals for the TARS, presumably, official view.
