Dear TAR members

I'd like to draw your attention to a group of fifteen lots [41-55] to be sold by auction on Wednesday 6th December by Dominic Winter Book Auctions. Highlights include the first handwritten draft of "The Blue Treacle", a pencil self-portrait and sketchbook, and a brief handwritten memoir by Arthur and Ivy Ransome's daughter Tabitha. All the books and ephemera have come from Tabitha's son John Lewis. An article about Ransome and some of these items by Christina Hardyment will appear in The Times book review section on Saturday 2nd December. The partially illustrated catalogue is available online at the auctioneers' website. Further information from the auctioneers. Best wishes, Chris Albury, Auctioneer and Valuer
