Great article!! Compact Florescents are the way to go! I now have almost all my light fixtures converted - and I have a lot, in 6000sq.ft.. AND I have the Bosch AquaStar water heater (which I understand is the standard in Europe and the rest of the world) with electic ignition, a great gas saver! The initial price may be higher, but the savings have paid for all these in the past three years! As stated before, "Change" is the catcher!

I'm sure Dick (who is still one of my favorite characters in the Books) would have been an enthusiastic "Changer"! A real seeker and understander of knowledge - even at nine or ten years old - which is really about the time kids start to seriously develop extreme interest in the world around them. My ten year old grandson is going through this same phase and we hope it continues. All too often the anti-changers get control and force kids into endless conformist mediocrity.

It is sad how many people, if they had their way, would still be living in trees ----- it is really sooooo easy to effect "Change" for the good!
