don't lean back!

Well, OK up to a point, but balance is vital. I have just been looking at photos posted up on flickr (an image host site). Believe it or not, a search found 44 photos matching 'galumph'. Most of these were, I'm sorry to say after my last email, of dogs and cats. One shot was of a girl standing still in thick snow. So I wrote them all off and searched on 'scree running'. That was much better, and I found a good shot which, IMO, shows the correct 'pitch' of lean. Andy is right to say you don't lean back totally, ie from the waist, but you don't lean forward from the waist either. Your waist and rear end should lean back, but you head and shoulders should be forward - seen from the side your body should be more or less 'S' shape. It is not unlike a skiing position.

I hope Titty and Roger took all this on board. I regret I can't link to the photo, as it is not mine and I can't find a way to do it - I suspect one can't. If anyone's interested, go on www.flickr.com and search on 'scree running dolomites'. Glad to see Andyb joining in - so he should - he is to blame for all this, as I started the thread as a reaction to his recent strictures about AR postings. . . .
