Hagar the horrible

I also have found that Dik Browne, in writing the Hagar strip, came very close to most boat-owners' psyches. One of my favourites is when Hagar is ranting at someone; " You've ruined me, I'm broke, and still you want more!" Helga replies to him, "Stop talking to your boat, Hagar!" Another was when his daughter asks her mother where Hagar is going so late at night. Helga replies that he had gone down to the dock to kiss his boat goodnight. Yes, he's very perceptive.
