The game really is best enjoyed as a spectator, lying on the grass in the warm sun with a pint of beer at hand.
Any game which is civilised enough to be watched with a pint of beer in one hand gets my vote. Similarly with artistic events. At all best sea shanty festivals a pint of beer is compulsory. If Swallows and Amazons, The Musical is staged at a venue which permits a pint of beer in one (or each) hand Jock will be there.
