Thanks. I remember reading about Ra I and II and the bundles of reeds, but had clearly forgotten the name.
There were certainly reeds in the Amazon river, as that's where Scarab is moored snd hidden. Is there any light balsa-like wood in the region? I suppose the modern S,A, and D's could build their boat out of discarded plastic soda bottles. I believe someone in the US did just that and floated, like Huck, down the Missisippi.
