I always thought that a 6 x 6 cm contact print of the backs of two people would not have been enough to show any more than that two people of George Owdon's and Ralph's size and clothing were leaning against a boat that looked like Catchalot. Fortunately GO and R didn't know this, and gave the game away in any case. A good lawyer should have been able to get them off had the case reached a criminal court.
