Friday, April 23 (Shakespeare's alleged birthday) is World Book Day. Again. Last year I initiated a harmless e-parlour amusement consisting of inviting people to say what books they happened to be reading on the day. We played it on S2M as I wasn't on the Net at the time; even so about 40 people joined in, and the variety of titles was fascinating (almost as fascinating as the recurrence of Jane Austen). So if anyone wants to, lets do it again.
Ian E-N has set up a special page, TarBoard World Book Day Survey, not to clutter up Tarboard. Hopefully it will have a link at the end of this message, otherwise you can find it in the Club Hut.
One or two enthusiastic ClubHutters have jumped the gun, with their own lists. What they didn't know is that you are allowed to add SHORT notes, explaining what's good about a title, or even what it is, if others are unlikey to instantly recognise it - in fact doing so makes it more interesting all round.
