It is possible to convert some DVD players to 0(multi region)depends on the brand some are easier than others, usually you need the secret code obtainable from some sites on the web I used videohelp, once you have the code you usually go to setup, key in the code and a secret menu comes up showing the regions, then just select 0 and away you go.
I get a lot of DVDs from the UK which cannot be had here and play them on both my machines. There is a lot of great stuff we cannot normally see.
I found Sony and Panasonic hard to convert.
You can convert your computer also but they don.t go to zero{Multi region} and as you can only do it four times you can end up stuck in the wrong code
