If the microbe's conciousness (or limits to it) contribute to the explosion,
that's a problem of the universe related to microbe conciousness. If on the
other hand the explosion takes place because the microbe is too busy
pondering about its consciousness (or limits to it) to do something about
it, that's part of the history of the universe related to the problem of microbe
conciousness.
