"Anyone who can appreciate the beauty of muddy estuary marshes should appreciate this book."

I absolutely agree with Owen's statement. "Muddy estuary marshes" exactly describes my part of Western Port, and the marshes, tidal channels in the mud, and the flat land they drain with its 180 degree horizons were the chief reasons I fell in love with the place on sight.

Here's a photo of Rutherford Inlet, just round the corner from Sanderling's mooring in the little creek behind the pine trees. And there are several more pictures of this part of Western Port at the link.
