We learnt prejudice sitting near the fire, when there were nasty things in the dark that liked to eat small children. AR is merely continuing in quite a mild acceptable fashion a fact of breeding. I think in this century we are getting a tolerant state in some parts of the world and maybe not so elsewhere.

Of course some groups are very hard to like, English Cricket Team, and as Heinlein so ablely noted there are a large group of humans who are poor at mathematics amoungst other things, but need to be tolerated. Of course if you are a Sailor and poor at mathematics you are likely to die young. Darwin at work again, evolution is a wonderful thing.

I have three daughters, one of Italian descent, one Irish and one Chinese and all mine. Nasty litte tempers all of them when pushed. Plus the common theme is, don't embarrass us Dad, again. Only one likes Ransome, of course she has been around the world 1.5 times, climbed Consiton and sailed to WCI, but I don't show any favouritism. Not much anyway.
