Sorry to be a pedant, but it looks to me that the type itself is the same, but the lines are squeezed closer together by reducing the white space between. Also the 'front matter' is squeezed into fewer pages.
It's a while since I last contributed to one of our occasional 'Which is your favourite book' discussions. PM is my favourite now, though it wasn't when I was a child. My irregular re-reads of the series usually start with a desire to re-read PM. I like the fact that it has fewer central characters than some of the others, I like the secrecy of the D's living in the woods, and I like to see Nancy manipulating the adults.
