I am informed that AR wrote his early autobiographical notes at the beginning of the 1930s. It was at this time that he embarked upon the Swallows and Amazon Series. His autobiography remained unfinished and he never found the time to return to his work. his life was very full in the thirties. Ill health was a constant problem. The published autobiography was completed by Sir Rupert Hart-Davis. Ragrds John
