In 1959, American author Joan Bodges published How the Heather Looks about a long summer holiday her family had in England the previous summer searching for the literary origins and places in children's books. She interviewed Arthur Ransome, and with the permission of her estate, that excerpt from her book has been posted in the Literary Pages on All Things Ransome.
