There are at least half a dozen 'Beckfoots'... I have not visited any of them, and do not intend to.
What a pity, the Beckfoot on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, is one of the most magical locations
on any British tourist railway. I like to think that AR, with his childhood interest in things mechanical,
may have visited the line.
