Dan Lind recently sent me this and I have found the link to put it up here.
A recently published list of "Best-loved authors" i.e. not necessarily "Best" authors, is topped by Enid Blyton.
It includes writers for adults as well as children but people seem to remember and love those authors they read as children rather than those from their adult reading which some of us might agree with.
Sadly Ransome doesn't appear.
