In the 12 Swallows and Amazon books, the books are always told from the point of view of either the Walkers or the Callums, but never the Blacketts. In fact, we really know comparativly less about the Blacketts than we do about most of the other characters in the book. We know that the Walker's father is in the Navy and that the Callum's father is a proffessor, yet only vaugue allusions are made to Nancy and Peggy's father only that he is apparently dead. Captain Flint must be relativly wealthy in order to afford his houseboat and travel around the world, but it is never explained how he got all his money. Does anyone have any theories?
