Peter Willis is of course quite right to point out that AR did use exact sources quite often, but it is the expectation that the model or source will be exact every time which I find worrying. Here we see that John felt "disappointed" when he saw Esperance. That worries me. AR's books, and his settings and the objects in them, should surely be giving people joy, not disillusionment?
