I have the 1991 Reprint of the 1976 Edition of AR's Autobiography, published by Cape. The ref to his father being only 46 is on p 50, halfway down. This para follows the one where AR misses out on Shrewsbury School because he thought that the superlative of 'parvus' was 'parvissimus' - I wonder if this came to his mind when writing ML and Capn Flint's attempt at Latin?
